On Thursday, November 15th, we were guests at the Everything VR and AR podcast hosted by Nathan Pettyjohn of The VR/AR Association.

On the podcast, we spoke about worldscale VR, its unique affordances, and whether ‘location-based experiences’ might have a future beyond arcades and dedicated spaces. We began by speaking about our personal journeys to VR. We discussed the rationale behind the first worldscale experience we created (Return to Grindleland), and then proceeded to speaking about the unique limitations that might be encountered while creating a worldscale experience and how we can creatively work around these using artificial intelligence, computer vision and more.

The podcast also saw us delve into ROI and the industry that’ll probably see the most application using this technology whether it’s in gaming, entertainment or enterprise use cases. The podcast ended with us touching on 360 videos and how that relates to VR.
